 Ta lien

Ta Lien mountain (also known as Co Trau mountain) belongs to Ta Leng commune, Tam Duong district, Lai Chau. The mountain has an altitude of 2,993 m above sea level and belongs to the top of the highest peaks in Vietnam. The top of the mountain is quite wide, but there are many overgrown shrubs. Climbing up a tall tree can clearly see Lai Chau city hidden in the undulating mountain waves. Seeing the whole other side is the Hoang Lien Son range with the peaks of Pu Ta Leng, Bach Moc Luong Tu, Nhiu Co San lurking in the sea of clouds.
October and November is the time when Ta Lien forest changes leaves, camellia flowers are scattered throughout the forest with a gentle, pure fragrance. Plants here are diverse and abundant, azaleas grow a lot on the top mainly in spring. You will also be moved by the green bamboo forest and the cool murmur of streams during the journey. Ta Xua
Ta Xua is considered an attractive place in recent years and it is expected that in the near future, this paradise will also attract a lot of backpackers and young people who are passionate about climbing.
Referring to popular cloud hunting locations, Ta Xua is probably the first name that every backpacker thinks of. Located on the border between Son La and Yen Bai provinces, to conquer the sea of clouds in this mountain, visitors have to move to Tram Tau (Yen Bai) then climb the mountain takes 2-3 days to overcome 3 peaks to be able to climb the mountain. reach the highest peak of Ta Xua. On the way to climb the mountain, you will encounter the sea of white clouds like cotton, floating right in front of you as beautiful as a dream.
Dubbed the cloud paradise in Vietnam, every year Ta Xua attracts countless tourists to conquer and explore. This is also a place not to be missed by great "cloud hunters". Overcoming a distance of 200km from Hanoi, about 13km from Bac Yen town to Ta Xua, we have seen clouds indifferently crossing the mountain.
Ta Xua - a scene like a fairyland appears in front of eyes with clouds, mountains, and trees. Silently watching the valleys of rolling clouds, it's like being lost in paradise on earth, time and space seem to stop flowing, each moment seems to become more quiet and smooth than ever. To "hunt clouds" in Ta Xua, the time from December to March every year is the most reasonable and the probability of meeting the cloud valley is the highest.


Lao Than
Referring to Lao Cai, people will immediately think of the foggy city of Sapa, the town of Muong Hoa or the rustic and peaceful land of Y Ty. And considered as the roof of Y Ty - Lao Than mountain is an ideal climbing and cloud hunting spot with majestic, wild but also poetic scenery.
Lao Than Mountain, known as the roof of Y Ty's house, is the perfect blend of wild, majestic natural mountains and forests, and the fantasy and brilliance of clouds and sky. Although not as majestic as Fansipan, not as dangerous as climbing Ba Den mountain, but Lao Than is famous for being the ideal hunting spot for clouds in the Northwest mountains.
As the 11th highest peak in Vietnam, this mountain Lao Than Y Ty is considered to be of medium difficulty but offers a wonderful natural experience. The foothills of the mountain are mainly low grass hills, the terrain is not too complicated and near the top, there will be thorny trees and bushes. In addition, along the way there will be stops to rest and explore.
If anyone has ever been to the land of Y Ty, it is definitely impossible to forget the dazzling golden terraced fields and unique villages. All of them bring strange and peaceful features to this Northwest land. Coming to Lao Than Y Ty mountain, too, the land you can experience all the beauty only in this land.


Pu Si Lung
Pu Si Lung ranks third after Fansipan and Putaleng with an altitude of 3,080m, in Pa Ve Su commune, Muong Te district, Lai Chau province. Pu Si Lung is becoming a place that attracts many young people who are passionate about travel and like to experience the feeling of climbing.
Pu Si Lung is a mountain located between the border of Vietnam and China. The mountain part located in Vietnam belongs to Pa Ve Su commune, Muong Te district, Lai Chau province. Although Pu Si Lung is not as beautiful as other mountains, there are few golden rhododendrons at the top, which also adds color to the mountain. However, because this mountain is located in a special position, it is located in the border area (hunting is prohibited), so wild animals are protected and abundant such as tigers, bears, monkeys, snakes... the way up the mountain with birds chirping and clear blue sky makes the picture here more interesting.
The road is very long, going up and down, but climbing forever and finally reaching the destination. You will scream with joy when you see the landmark standing there, towering over the reinforced concrete floor. It's great that you have crossed to reach the end of the Northwest sky. It is a journey of search and discovery. Beautiful mountain scenery, fresh air with misty clouds are magical. Sometimes, it feels like I'm lost in the hills of white wildflowers from stem to flower. Footsteps step on carpets of dry leaves or small flowers. Looking up was a bright rose-red sky.


Putaleng
If Fansipan is "Roof of Indochina", Putaleng is no less competitive. With an altitude of 3,096m above sea level, Putaleng is known as "the second roof of Indochina".
Putaleng is also located in the Hoang Lien Son range in Phong Tho district, Lai Chau province. This is also a mountain for adventurous backpackers. To conquer the top of the mountain, you go to the territory of Ho Thau commune of Lai Chau, with a local guide in Pho village to start the journey. The first roads along the canal of Pho village, the road is flat, quite easy to go with wildflowers on the roadside. Putaleng is still quite primitive. Especially a lot of azaleas.
The scene is quite beautiful and poetic. At the top of the rhododendrons, climbing around February or March is the best time. Putaleng has a mixed terrain, but most of it is terrain going through the forest, the trail is slippery and very steep (slope than Pha Luong climbing terrain) often having to stick to roots and trunks to climb. On the way to the climbing point, there are streams and springs of water, so when climbing, you don't need to bring a lot of water, just a large bottle to catch drinking spring water is enough. After more than 8 hours of climbing and resting, we also reached the tented point, located next to a large stream surrounded by ancient old forest.


Fansipan – Sapa
Fansipan mountain is known as the roof of Indochina. With an altitude of 3,143 m in the Hoang Lien Son mountain range. Fansipan is about 9 km southwest of Sa Pa town, and is located between two provinces, Lao Cai and Lai Chau, in the northwest region of Vietnam. Fansipan was formed about 250 million years ago and every year the peak of Fansipan mountain is 0.032 m higher. The flora is quite rich. When there are 1,680 and is divided into 679 genera belonging to 7 groups including some rare species. Fansipan peak is now a rendezvous for many climbers. Conquering this mountain can be done through tours of professional travel agencies or self-sufficient with the guidance of local people. The climbing route can start from Hanoi to Lao Cai by train for a distance of 333 km; then from Lao Cai to Sa Pa by car over 38 km; then from Sa Pa to the top of Tram Ton pass or less commonly, Cat Cat tourist area by car or motorbike taxi. Here, there are the largest number of Mong and Dao ethnic people who work as cargo carriers to serve mountain climbers.
Previously, it took about 5-6 days from Sapa to go to the top of Fansipan and back. Currently, the total time of the climb is only 3 days, even 2 days or with those who are proficient and in good health, it can be done in one day. The right time to climb the mountain is from September of last year to March of next year. However, the most beautiful is still around the end of February, when mountain flowers begin to bloom. On February 2, 2016, Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee and Sun Group jointly inaugurated the most modern three-wire cable car in the world and also the first time in Asia. And awarded with two Guinness records as the longest three-wire cable car in the world: 6,325 m, and the three-wire cable car with the largest difference between the departure and arrival stations in the world.
